1 mile easy loop through Humming Bird Hill, Conifer Forest, Lower Pond and Boardwalk ( you can extend hike to upper pond which doesn't always have water)
This nice and easy 1 mile walk is mostly level only 112 ft elevation. Start at the entrance and grab a map. First stop is Humming Bird Hill and the Artist Palette Lots of wild flowers during March-June
Oak Glen Preserve Creek Trail is a 2.1 mile hike with a 485 ft. elevation gain. Don't try this with small kids and strollers. Start from the upper parking lot and head south following the orchard trail to the Oak Knoll Park . Follow the trail through the park and down the canyon. At the bottom head through the trees and take the creek trail all the way up to the upper pond (it may be dry). Follow the trail back to the parking lot .

Directions: Park at the Oak Knoll parking lot (lower lot) and follow trail down the canyon. at the bottom you will see signs to the preservation point trail. You can then follow the creek trail up to the upper pond and over to the upper parking lot. Head south to lower parking lot ; or take path back the way you came in for a shorter 1 mile hike.
This hike is very strenuous with a 1,100 ft elevation in a short distance. Bring plenty of water and don't try it on a hot day.

During Spring months the Preserve has many colorful wildflower displays. This is the busiest time of the year. Get here early to avoid the huge crowds.
The Preserve is closed when it snows , so we hiked around the area and the road.
